
Edward Simon says one of his first goals as the new Glencoe Youth Services Executive Director is to attract new teens who haven’t visited the center yet, the other is shifting the nonprofit’s focus from being a drop-in center to one with more of a focus on programs outside the center, such as taking teens to volunteer at a Chicago food kitchen, Chicago Tribune reported.
“I’m not as much worried about the number of teens who come in every day," he told the newspaper. "I want new people to experience the center, and hopefully they'll make a connection that makes them want to come back.”
