New Trier, Glenbrook South Square Off In Girls Soccer Sectional

To reach the sectional final, Glenbrook South defeated Glenbrook North 3-0 in the regional final and Evanston Township High School in penalty kicks after the sectional semifinal match finished 1-1 after extra time.
New Trier dispatched Maine West 3-0 in the regional finals and Maine South 1-0 in the sectional final.

The winner of Friday's game between the two of them will face the victor in Saturday's contest in Buffalo Grove between Stevenson and Fremd in a super-sectional matchup at Fremd on Tuesday.
That would set up a state semifinal on May 31 in Naperville with the defending state champion Barrington Broncos, should they be able to emerge victorious over first Cary and St. Charles. The state final is scheduled to take place the following day.
