New Trier Students Get Rare Dance Opportunity

For years New Trier High School dance division coordinator Christopher Rutt had tried to get the rights for his students to perform a piece by his favorite choreographer, Paul Taylor, a modern dance legend—now eight of his students will get the rare opportunity, Chicago Tribune reported. 

The students will perform a four-minute excerpt titled the “Cloven Quartet” from Taylor’s “Cloven Kingdom,” during the Dance Theater New Trier Concert held on May 2 and 3 in the Gaffney Auditorium on the Winnetka campus, Chicago Tribune reported.
