New Vaccination Appointments Open At New Trier Northfield Campus
Residents of 12 northern Cook County communities ages 16 and up can sign up for Thursday's first-dose Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine clinic.

NORTHFIELD, IL — Appointments to receive first doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine Thursday opened Wednesday morning for residents of a dozen northern Cook County suburbs.
Residents of Glencoe, Glenview, Kenilworth, Lincolnwood, Morton Grove, Niles, Northbrook, Northfield, Park Ridge, Prospect Heights, Wilmette and Winnetka can register online to receive a first dose Thursday and a second dose on May 13.
The vaccine is available for anyone aged 16 and up, although those under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Morning appointments were fully booked in less than an hour, with afternoon appointments also filling up.

Instructions on signing up through the Illinois Department of Public Health portal are also available online.
This week's first-dose clinic is scheduled to administer 900 doses, according to a spokesperson for Cook County Health. The county's hospital operator entered into an agreement with the New Trier High School District 203 board for use of its gymnasium. The clinic is staffed by employees of participating municipalities.
