Northfield Issues Severe Storm Warning

A severe storm is expected to move through the Northfield area starting at around 3 p.m., according to a press release.
The forecasts call for extreme conditions with the storm expected to produce large hail, lightning and strong winds with gusts up to 60 mph.
The storm has the potential to cause widespread outages, and anyone seeing a downed power line should keep a safe distance and immediately contact Commonwealth Edison at 1-800-334-7661 to report the location, according to the release.
