Five of the nearly 40 dogs found in horrendous condition at attorney's home have found new home while seven more are ready.

What a difference a little more than a month makes for the dogs rescued from filthy conditions at a Glencoe home.

Five of the 37 dogs recovered from the home of Glencoe attorney Jeanne Harper, who has been charged with mistreatment of companion animals, have found new homes and seven more are ready for adoption - according to the Daily North Shore.

After being cleaned up at Glencoe Animal Hospital, the seven that are ready are currently waiting for their new homes at Tails of Hope, a no-kill animal rescue operation at 1628 Old Deerfield Road in Highland Park.

“Most of the dogs were in good physical shape,” Reni Zemlyak Manager of Glencoe Animal Hospital told the DNS. “They are very cute and becoming more so every day as their hair grows out...They are all cleaned up and most have become very friendly and happy to give and receive affection.”

Tails of Hope holds an open house every Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. and on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. for people ready to meet the dogs ready for adoption.
