@properties, the largest residential brokerage firm in Chicagoland and on the North Shore, has added another industry veteran to its management team. Company co-founders Thad Wong and Mike Golden announced top-producing @properties agent Karen Mason has been named vice president of brokerage services for the firm’s Winnetka office. Mason will also co-manage the firm’s Glencoe office alongside @properties vice president of brokerage services Jorge Abreu.

In Winnetka, Mason will take over day-to-day management duties, allowing @properties’ executive vice president of culture and agent development Amy Corr to focus on enhancing and expanding the company’s coaching, training, and business-planning solutions for agents. Corr spearheaded the launch of the office in 2010.

Mason joined @properties 11 years ago and has been an agent since 2004. In her new role, she will oversee recruitment, training, and operations for the Winnetka and Glencoe offices.

With over 160 licensed brokers, @properties’ Winnetka office closed more than $700 million in sales volume in 2019 and was the top-producing office on the North Shore, according to data from BrokerMetrics LLC. @properties already holds the #1 market share in Glencoe, where it opened an office earlier this year that houses just over 30 licensed brokers.

“This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with my colleagues and be part of one of the best leadership teams in the industry,” said Mason. “I’m looking forward to strengthening my relationships with @properties agents and leveraging my sales experience to help them succeed and grow their business.”

“Our culture is one of our most valuable assets, and because Karen has been with @properties for so long, she understands how important it is to our success,” said Golden. “She also has great relationships with our agents and tremendous knowledge of all of our systems, making her a great addition to our management team.”

A graduate of Ohio University, Mason lives in Glencoe with her husband, two children, and their Goldendoodle. She is very active in the community and currently serves on the board of the Glencoe Junior High Project.
