GLENCOE
INCIDENTS
THEFT/FRAUD
Someone picked up an unattended wallet in the 400 block of Park Avenue, with one of the credit cards inside later used to spend more than $140 at a Walmart, police were told around noon on Sept. 19.
ARRESTS/CITATIONS
Amanda H. McGrath, 32, of the 600 block of Arbor Avenue, Wheaton, was arrested around 2 a.m. on Sept. 19 and charged with driving under the influence of drugs following a traffic stop near Harbor Street and Old Green Bay Road. Officers also cited her for failure to signal, disobeying a red light, no insurance and possession of unspecified drug paraphernalia. No further information about the encounter was immediately available from police.

INCIDENTS
THEFT
Someone stole a pair of leaf blowers worth about $1,000 from a trailer near the intersection of Elder Lane and East Frontage Road shortly after noon on Sept. 15.

DAMAGED LAWN
A resident of the 2200 block of Bracken Lane called police on the morning of Sept. 17 to report that a delivery truck had damaged their lawn. Police reported the truck driver agreed to arrange to fix it.
UNWANTED PERSON
Police were called to a medical office in the 200 block of Waukegan Road around 11:30 a.m. Sept. 18 for a report that an elderly woman had been disruptive in the waiting room and refused requests to leave. After speaking with police the woman agreed to depart.
IDENTITY THEFTS
- A Regent Wood Road resident reported on the afternoon of Sept. 15 that someone had used their identity to try to file for unemployment insurance benefits.
- A Longmeadow Road resident reported on the afternoon of Sept. 18 that someone had tried to file for unemployment benefits using their identity.
WILMETTE
INCIDENTS
SIGN THEFT
A resident in the 600 block of Central Avenue reported that someone stole two yard signs from their front yard between 11 a.m. and 6:40 p.m. on Sept. 20.
ASSAULT
The husband of an employee of the Fresh Market, 3232 Lake Ave., confronted another employee in a threatening manner around 8:15 p.m. on Sept. 10 in the parking lot of Edens Plaza. Officers told the man to stay off the property.
STOLEN CAR CRASHES
An officer noticed two cars speeding west on Lake Avenue around 2:15 a.m. on Sept. 19. While searching the area, police found one of the cars abandoned in the 3000 block of Barclay Lane. It appeared that the driver had lost control of the car, which had been reported stolen from Evanston, leaving the road and striking several trees, as well as a parked car.
STOLEN CARS
- Someone stole a Honda SUV from the 200 block of Washington Avenue prior to 4:30 a.m. on Sept. 16 after it was left unlocked with a key fob inside. While backing out of the driveway, the thief drove into a retaining wall, causing about $1,000 in damage.
- Someone stole a van from the 1400 block of Ashland Avenue after it was left unlocked with a key inside at 10 p.m. on Sept. 18. It was found in the 10000 block of Frontage Road in Skokie around 7:45 a.m. on Sept. 19.
CAR BURGLARIES
- Someone burglarized an unlocked Volkswagen parked near the intersection of 10th Central avenues between 1 p.m. Sept. 15 and 7:45 a.m. Sept. 16, rummaging through its center console. Nothing was reported stolen from inside.
- A resident in the 200 block of Woodbine Avenue reported that someone stole personal items from inside an unlocked car between 8 p.m. Sept. 18 and 8 a.m. Sept. 19.
HARASSMENT
- An employee at Chase Bank, 1200 Central Ave., reported on the morning of Sept. 16 that a former romantic partner had made a series of telephone calls to the bank manager that disparaged the their character.
- A U.S. Postal Service employee reported ongoing harassment by a resident in the 300 block of Laurel Avenue and requested that police have an officer in the area when delivering mail there.
ARRESTS/CITATIONS
Isabelle Goode, 18, of the 300 block of Richmond Road, Kenilworth, was arrested shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 16 and charged with possession of a controlled substance after police were dispatched to the 300 block of Wilshire Drive West for a report of a suspicious car parked there. The driver and one passenger were issued local ordinance citations for possession of a small amount of cannabis, while Goode was charged a single felony charge.
Anthony Allen, 44, of the 700 block of East 92nd Place, Chicago, was arrested shortly after 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 16 and charged with assault and resisting arrest after police were called to the CTA Purple Line station at 349 Linden Ave. for a report that a man had just assaulted a bus driver. Police reported Allen was aggressive toward the officers and resisted when he was being taken into custody.
Fredo Demaret, 25, of the 500 block of Douglas Avenue, Waukegan, was arrested shortly after 10:45 p.m. on Sept. 21 and charged with misdemeanor fleeing and eluding police, criminal trespassing to a vehicle and possession of between 30 and 100 grams of cannabis, with additional potential felony charges set to be reviewed ahead of a court date. Police reported he fled a traffic stop in the 1700 block of Lake Avenue and crashed into a tree and a ence in the 600 block of 15th Street before he was found hiding in nearby shrubbery. Officers found 91 grams of individually packaged cannabis and about $500 in cash inside the car, which had recently been reported stolen from Waukegan, police reported.
William C. Benion Jr., 42, formerly of the 3300 block of West 19th Street, Chicago, and Darcie M. Kelso, 30, formerly of the 700 block of 3rd Street Southeast in Little Falls, Minnesota, were arrested shortly after 9 a.m. on Sept. 18 and charged with retail theft after an employee of the Jewel-Osco at 411 Green Bay Road identified them as the people who tried to steal over-the-counter drugs. Police charged them with misdemeanors and took them to the CTA after prosecutors declined to approve felony charges for the homeless pair.

THEFT
Someone stole a bicycle worth $330 that had been locked to a bike rack at New Trier High School, 385 Winnetka Ave., between 6 p.m. Sept. 4 and 8 p.m. Sept. 9.
IDENTITY THEFT
A resident in the 1000 block of Cherry Street reported on Sept. 15 that someone had used their identity to obtain an unauthorized small business loan on July 26 for a loss of $681.
