Township Educational Forum Covers The Power of Attorney Document
Learn Why Adult Students Need A Healthcare Power Of Attorney At A Free Webinar

New Trier Township is resuming its Community Educational Forums with a virtual webinar event in conjunction with township grantee the North Suburban Legal Aid Clinic on Wednesday June 2, 2021 from 5:30 p.m.—6:30 p.m. The free event focuses on the health care Power of Attorney, and why adult students should have this document in place.
Parents/guardians of high school or college age students residing in suburban Cook County and throughout Lake County are encouraged to join Attorney Adam Garber from Levenfeld Perlstein, as he shares why a power of healthcare form is crucial when an emergency may make a student unable to make medical decisions for themselves.
New Trier Township is offering free notary services on the student POA documents received by event attendees on June 3, 2021, from 1:00-3:30 at the Winnetka Police Department classroom, 410 Green Bay Road.

New Trier Township Supervisor Gail Schnitzer Eisenberg said, “We are pleased to resume our Educational Forum series with the North Suburban Legal Aid Clinic. As young adults head off to school, a Power of Attorney document provides peace of mind should a difficult situation arise. I’m also grateful to Deputy Assessor Leonard Shifflett who will offer notary services to make the POA documents official.”
During the township’s closure due to a recent fire, Educational Forums are being offered online. To RSVP and receive a Zoom link/passcode, email info@NSLegalAid.org by May 31, 2021.
