Winnetka Postpones 4th Of July Fireworks
The village and park district announced Memorial Day and the 4th of July plans.
The Village of Winnetka and Winnetka Park District are pleased to announce this year’s planned Memorial Day and Fourth of July celebrations:
Memorial Day A ceremony will be held Memorial Day from 10-11 AM on Village Green to remember and honor those who gave their lives serving our country. Unlike previous years, there will not be a parade before the ceremony. Registration for the ceremony will be required to limit the number of attendees and maintain social distancing. Fourth of July For the Fourth of July, the following activities are planned:
- Activities on the Skokie Playfield
- Activities in Village Parks
- A 5k Freedom Run
- Pop-up ice cream events at Winnetka beaches
The Village and Park District will communicate further details about these activities as we get closer to the holiday. Unlike previous years, a parade will not take place and, like many communities surrounding us, fireworks are postponed until September.
