Volunteer Opportunities to Help Others During the Pandemic

This comprehensive guide provides ideas for helping nonprofits and people in need

Feeling helpless during this rapidly unfolding health situation in our community and the world? The Volunteer Center of N.E. Metro Chicago (VC) is offering multiple ways for people to do something proactive and make a difference. The VC has put up a helpful resource page on its website https://volunteercenterhelps.org/ for those who are looking to safely help nonprofits and those who are struggling during this heightened Coronavirus Pandemic social isolation and shut-downs. Many of the Volunteer Center's nonprofits have posted specific needs and there are other suggestions for ways to help in a safe manner.

The Volunteer Center (VC) works with over 165 nonprofit partner organizations to annually help over 15,000 individuals, families, and service groups find ways to volunteer their time and help others in the community and beyond. It offers best practice trainings for its member nonprofits. The VC also help groups develop and implement effective service learning programs in schools, faith-based organizations and civic groups, as well as sponsor community Days of Service.
