Winnetka Blotter: New Trier Pot Citing, Burglary Arrest, Missing Golden Urn

A summary of incidents that occurred March 3-6.

The following items are taken from Winnetka Police Department reports. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Saturday, March 5

Cannabis Activity: A 27-year-old Wilmette man was arrested at 2:07 a.m. at Foxdale Avenue and Eldorado Street and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. He received citations for possession of cannabis and driving with a broken headlight. His court date is April 1.

Traffic Arrest: A 28-year-old Chicago man was arrested at 3:48 a.m. in the 500 block of Green Bay Road and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. He was also cited for improper lane usage. His court date is April 18.

Theft: A bronze urn valued at $4,000 was reported missing from a residence in the 1300 block of Hackberry Lane. The theft may have occurred between March 4 at 9 a.m. and March 5 at 11 p.m.

Traffic Arrest: A 40-year-old Skokie woman was arrested and charged with driving without a valid driver's license at 11:49 p.m. in the 100 block of Green Bay Road. She was also cited for improper lane usage. Her court date is April 18.

Cannabis Activity: A male New Trier student was cited for possession of cannabis on the school grounds at 8 a.m.

Theft: A 49-year-old Wilmette woman charged with theft following an investigation into a burglary in the 100 block of De Windt Road in September. She was arrested in the 400 block of Green Bay Road at 5:14 a.m.
