Winnetka Blotter: Teen Cited for Alcohol; Car Window Smashed; Graffiti

A summary of incidents reported March 25-April 2.

The following items are taken from Winnetka Police Department reports. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

April 2

Minor in Possession of Alcohol: A 16-year-old boy was cited for illegal possession of alcohol and for allowing other minors to consume alcohol at 9:47 p.m. in the 300 block of Cedar Street. His court date is April 18.

April 1

Criminal Damage: A resident notified police that the rear window of his car was broken on April 1. Nothing was reported missing from the car, which was parked in the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue.

March 30

Criminal Damage: Police discovered a defaced sign in a parking lot in the 500 block of Lincoln Avenue.

Criminal Damage: Graffiti was reported on the Oak Street bridge and the village public works department was notified.
