Winnetka Caucus Council Seeking Village Trustee Candidates

The Winnetka Caucus Council is actively seeking candidates to serve on the Village Council. We will be selecting up to three candidates for Village Trustee to be slated for election in 2020. You can apply or nominate a neighbor. Please visit our website or simply email us at hello@winnetkacaucus.org to begin the application process.
Background
Winnetka uses a caucus system in which caucus volunteers identify, screen and select candidates for our elected offices. The “slates” of candidates are put before the entire village in the fall, and after approval, on the ballot in the spring.
Position
Village Council Trustee is a volunteer, 2-year-term position. The Trustee position requires a significant commitment of time and energy. We seek candidates with passion for our Village, perspective on the key issues, and a track record of service.

Process
Step 1 - Apply - Submit application no later than August 10, 2019
Step 2 - Eligibility - We verify your eligibility per Caucus rules
Step 3 - Interview - All eligible candidates receive an interview
Step 4 - Selection - Candidates are approved at the Fall Town Hall
Step 5 - Election - Election in April 2020
