Winnetka Club Awards 7 College Scholarships To Recent Grads

The Winnetka Club awarded 2020 college scholarships June 7 at the gardens of the Winnetka Community House.

For over 10 years the Winnetka Club has awarded college scholarships to deserving high school seniors residing in New Trier Township.

This year's recipients are: Maggia Cao attended New Trier High School and received the Kitty Shen Leadership Award. She will be attending Yale University studying Pre-med.

Additional Winnetka Club scholarships were awarded to:

Jaden Gilley - NTHS, will be attending University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana to study Areospace engineering;

Ben Ancell - NTHS, will attend Boston Conservatory-Berklee College of Music to study Musical theater

Michael Barker - Loyola Academy, will attend Bucknell University to study Engineering;

Lily Christopher - NTHS, will attend University of San Diego to study Education;

Esther Xu - NTHS will attend University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana to study Education;

Frank Zawrasky - NTHS will attend Loyola University studying Journalism.
