Thomas Joseph Godfrey, Jr., 80, of Winnetka, died on October 5, 2014, at home surrounded by his family.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Judith Hamilton-Godfrey, his daughters Lisa (Pablo Rivera) and Emily Godfrey, and his sister, Winifred Godfrey.He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas J. Godfrey, Sr. and Eileen McGuire Godfrey and his son, Thomas L. “Lee” Godfrey.

Tom was born in Chicago, IL on June 7, 1934. He was a graduate of St. Ignatius College Prep, the University of Notre Dame and Harvard Law School. He practiced law for over 5O years specializing in trusts and estates. He retired in 2008 after 21 years as a partner of Hoogendoorn & Talbot. He was a member of the American College of Trust & Estate Counsel, a former Adjunct Professor at Loyola Law School and a past Division Chairman of the Chicago Bar Association Probate Practice Committee.
