Winnetka Police Blotter: Burglary, ID Theft, Warrant

The following information is from the Winnetka Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Burglary

A victim discovered between noon on Jan. 15 and 9 a.m. on Jan. 16 an unknown offender(s) entered the residence in the 1400 block of Asbury Avenue via force and removed jewelry, military medals, a red Olympus FE-20 camera and cash. Amount of loss was $1,110.

Controlled Substance

Cameron C. Deahl, 20, of 1330 Sheridan Rd., Highland Park, was arrested Jan. 15 at 1:27 a.m. at 910 Pine Tree Lane for possession of a controlled substance. Deahl was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cannabis. Court date is Jan. 16.

Identity Theft

A victim in the 800 block of Mount Pleasant Street reported on Jan. 15 an unknown offender(s) used the victim’s personal identifiers to file a federal income tax return. No reported loss at this time.

A victim in the 800 block of Mount Pleasant Street discovered between 8 a.m. on Jan. 7 and 8 p.m. on Jan. 14, unknown offender(s) used the victim’s personal identifiers to open up various department store credit cards and made unauthorized purchases. Amount of loss was $1,000.

A victim in the 1000 block of Dinsmore Road discovered between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Jan. 4, unknown offender(s) used the victim’s personal identifiers to open a checking and savings account. No reported loss at this time.

Traffic

Heriberto Suarez-Leyva, 44, of 2650 W. 122nd St., Blue Island, was arrested Jan. 16 at 259 Church St. for driving under the influence of alcohol. Suarez-Leyva was also cited for driving the wrong way on a one way street and improper lane usage. Court date is Feb. 22.

John R. Peterson, 58, of 9215 N. Newcastle Ave., Morton Grove, was arrested Jan. 14 in the 1300 block of Willow Road for driving under the influence of alcohol. Peterson was also cited for illegal transportation and possession of alcohol in a motor vehicle and no rear registration plate light. Court date is Feb. 11.

Everardo Hernandez-Perdomo, 41, of 2120 N. Bonnie Brook Ln., Waukegan, was arrested Jan. 13 at 34 Green Bay Rd. for driving with a suspended driver’s license. Hernandez-Perdomo was also cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and failure to signal when required. Court date is Feb. 11.

Warrant

Everardo Hernandez-Perdomo, 41, of 2120 N. Bonnie Brook Ln., Waukegan, was arrested Jan. 13 at 34 Green Bay Road for an in-state warrant. This information was revealed while the subject was in custody for a traffic arrest. Court date is Jan. 29.
