Winnetka's Restaurant Michael To Permanently Close In March
Chef Michael Lachowicz said more details of plans for the space, where service at George Trois will resume in May, would be forthcoming.

WINNETKA, IL — After 14 years as one of the North Shore's top destinations for fine dining, Restaurant Michael announced plans to close permanently in less than five years. March 3 will be the renowned restaurant's the final day for service.
"My team and I aren't going anywhere," said Chef Michael Lachowicz, who opened up shop in the red brick building at 64 Green Bay Road in October 2005.
George Trois, the intimate tasting menu concept within Restaurant Michael that recently became the first suburban restaurant to be named restaurant of the year at the Jean Banchet Awards, will return after a two-month hiatus, the restaurant announced.
