3 Hurt In Motorcycle Crashes In Kendall County
Deputies with the Kendall County Sheriff's office were called to two motorcycle crashes Sunday near Newark, Kendall County Now reported.

YORKVILLE, IL — Three people were hurt in crashes involving motorcycles Sunday on Route 71 in the Newark area. Deputies with the Kendall County Sheriff's office were called to the first crash which took place at 11:49 a.m. on Route 71 at County Line Road, when a motorcycle driven by 73-year-old Francis Walter, from Glen Ellyn, is said to have rear-ended a car turning left onto southbound County Line Road from southwest-bound Route 71, police said, according to the news report. According to police, Walter was taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries and was cited on accusations of following too closely, Kendall County Now reported.
At 2:59 p.m. Sunday, a motorcycle driven by Domingo Fietes, from Aurora, sideswiped a car turning southbound onto Townhouse Road from southwest-bound Route 71. Deputies responded to the site of the crash where Fietes and a passenger were treated by Newark Fire Protection District medics for minor injuries and were released, according to police, Kendall County Now reported. Police said Fietes was issued citations for accusations of improper passing at an intersection and violation of his diver's license classification.
