Yorkville City Council Will Consider New Senior Home Development
A commercial development was approved for the site in 2008, but it was never developed.

On Tuesday, the Yorkville City Council will consider a proposal to build a senior care facility at the northeast corner of the intersection of Route 34 and Cannonball Trail, according to city documents.
The prior owner of the lot was approved in 2008 to build a commercial center, but the land remained undeveloped. Dover Development has requested to build a 73-unit, two-story assisted living and memory care facility on the site.
According to their website, the Missouri-based company normally restores or renovates neglected properties, and turn most of them properties into affordable senior housing.
