Your diet is everything on your health journey. Whether you’re looking to lose weight, maintain your healthy lifestyle or build muscle it’s important to remember, the age old saying, that “abs are made in the kitchen”. What you eat directly correlates with your body composition and level of overall health.
We should be filling our bodies with fruits, vegetables, and whole grains instead of the sometimes more “appealing” pizza, soda and dessert. The first step to leading a healthier lifestyle is knowing what you’re putting into your body. It’s not about sticking to a strict diet, but more about making smaller healthy lifestyle decisions, like eating a healthier array of foods. But beware, what once was healthy may not be so healthy anymore. Those “fat-free” foods you turned to previously most likely aren’t the best sources of nutrients now. Make sure you aren’t ruining your diet by eating foods that aren’t actually healthy at all. Avoid eating these foods because they’re actually doing more harm than good.
