Dad Gets Hit Trying To Stop Girl Fight: Yorkville Police Reports

The following is a roundup of arrests and incidents reported by the Yorkville Police Department.

YORKVILLE, IL—Police report information is provided by local police departments. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions on a given day, and persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

A report of domestic battery was made at 10:25 p.m. May 9 in the 100 block of Colonial Parkway over a fight between two juvenile females. The father of one of the females tried to separate the two causing one of the girls to be pushed against a standing fan, and the father was hit during the time trying to separate the girls. No medical assistance was required.

A report of credit card fraud was made May 9 in the 700 block of Bluestem Drive, in which fraudulent charges valued at $5,999.59 were identified.

Police responded at 3:31 p.m. May 9 to the scene of a three-vehicle accident in the area of Galena and Kennedy roads. Grace Sczurek, 20, of the 7000 block of Audrey Avenue, Yorkville, was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident that caused the vehicle of Charles Gillespie of Yorkville to strike the vehicle of Melissa Reynolds of Downers Grove. No one involved in the accident reported to the hospital for treatment.
