Extension Of Outdoor Dining, Liquor Sales Approved In Yorkville

The 8-0 vote also means the ordinance can be extended after Kendall County and the rest of Region 2 move into Phase 5, the news report said.

YORKVILLE, IL — Yorkville City Council members voted Tuesday in favor of extending the ordinance aimed at allowing outdoor restaurant sales and liquor service during the coronavirus pandemic for three months after the state moves into Phase 5 of the Restore Illinois plan, according to Kendall County Now. The 8-0 vote also means the ordinance can be extended after Kendall County and the rest of Region 2 move into Phase 5, according to the news report.

The extension approval comes nearly 3 months after the city council voted in May to adopt the ordinance, which was going to expire on Dec. 31. Kathleen Field Orr, city attorney, said the ordinance can be repealed later by the City Council and mayor, according to Kendall County Now.
