We gathered details on fireworks and festivities happening in Yorkville so you can start planning now. What: Fireworks
Where: Fireworks will be shot off near the corner of Route 47 and Countryside Parkway.
When: July 4 (at dusk)
What: Vehicle neighborhood parades — Yorkville officials announced Tuesday that the City is offering three vehicle neighborhood parades on July 4 for families to enjoy from their own front yard. Officials said everyone is welcome and encouraged to decorate and enter a vehicle within the parade to show your American pride or to highlight your business. Participating floats do not need to confirm participation, simply arrive at the line-up location approximately 30 minutes before the parade is scheduled to begin.

Please note, according to the City, this is a vehicle-only parade, and walkers will not be able to participate. In addition, the City said floats will not be allowed to throw candy or distribute any items from their vehicle and families are asked to follow all social distancing guidelines while viewing the parade.

- South Parade — Line up at Yorkville Middle School at 8:30 a.m. Parade begins at 9 a.m.
- Central Parade — Line up at Yorkville High School at 9:30 a.m. Parade begins at 10 a.m.
- North Parade — Line up at Grande Reserve Elementary School at 10:30 a.m. Parade begins at 11 a.m.
