Free Flu Shots Available For Yorkville Seniors During Pandemic
The flu shots are covered by Medicare Part B and most health insurance plans.
YORKVILLE, IL — Senior citizens in the Yorkville area will have several opportunities over the coming weeks to get a free flu vaccine. The Beecher Center in Yorkville, located at 901 Game Farm Rd., is set to host a drive-thru vaccination clinic from 9 to 11 a.m. on Oct. 2, as public health officials encourage residents to get vaccinated for the flu amid the coronavirus pandemic.
In Aurora, People 65 and older can stop by the Aurora Township Senior Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday to receive a flu vaccination, which is covered by Medicare Part B and most health insurance plans, according to officials.

Free flu shots will also be available to seniors next month at a drive-thru clinic outside the Aurora Township Senior Center. That clinic is scheduled to run from 9 to 11 a.m. on Oct. 5.

Those who want to participate in the Yorkville clinic should call 630-553-5777. Anyone interested in receiving a vaccination in Aurora should call the Aurora Senior Services at 630-897-4035.
Seniors must bring their Medicare cards to receive a vaccine. Officials are also asking people to wear masks and practice social distancing while at the clinics.
