'Heads Up': Water Meter Battery Replacement In Yorkville
According to the city, batteries will be replaced on outside meters by United Meters Inc., who plan to have the work completed by July 24.
YORKVILLE, IL — The City of Yorkville is giving a heads up to residents that there will be an outside contractor replacing over 300 batteries on water meter readers within the city starting Monday or Tuesday. According to the city, batteries will be replaced on outside meters by United Meters Inc., who plan to have the work completed by July 24.
The city added that all work will be performed outside the house and residents do not need to have any interaction with the contractor.
According to the city, the work should take 15 to 30 minutes to complete per household and will take place between 7 a.m. and a5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
