KCSO To Use New Firearms Training Facility And Range

The facility will expand the sheriff's office's training capabilities and further their mission to be ready to protect Kendall County.

KENDALL COUNTY, IL — The Kendall County Sheriff's Office announced Monday that they will start using a new firearm training facility and range at 10040 Joliet Road in Lisbon Tuesday. According to a news release from the sheriff's office, the new facility will greatly expand the sheriff's office's training capabilities and further their mission to be ready to protect Kendall County. The facility will also be used on Oct. 13.

According to the news release, residents in the immediate area might hear sounds related to the firearm training when the new facility is being used, including gunfire. The sheriff's office said the facility will primarily be used sporadically between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, adding that should there be a need to use the facility after hours or on a weekend, residents in the area would be notified beforehand.
