With a heat index that could hit 109, here's where you can cool down.

KENDALL COUNTY, IL — Extremely hot and potentially stormy weather has hit the Chicago area, and that includes Kendall County. The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory, effective until 7 p.m. Monday, as temperatures soar and the heat index could hit 103 to 109 degrees.

If you find yourself without air conditioning, here are some locations throughout Kendall County where you might find relief. The Kendall County Health Department reminds residents to call ahead to make sure a cooling center is open before heading there.
