Knives Found During Probe Into Yorkville HS Locker: Police

YORKVILLE, IL—During an investigation regarding two students, a Yorkville High School locker search revealed that one 15-year-old male possessed two folding knives, police said. A school resource officer assigned to the school learned May 7 that school officials were looking into an incident.

The male, who was taken into custody, was charged with unauthorized possession of a weapon, authorities said. The male was transported to the Juvenile Justice Center in St. Charles.

Police said the safety of students and faculty was not threatened at any time.
