Man Killed In Yorkville Crash
The two-vehicle accident happened Thursday evening near Route 71 and West High Point Road.
YORKVILLE, IL — A 54-year-old Yorkville man died Thursday after a two-vehicle crash near Route 71 and Wes High Point Road, police said.
According to police, a 2006 GMS Sierra was headed north on Route 71 when it crossed the center line into the southbound lane, hitting a 2007 Peterbilt truck. The driver of the truck was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Sierra, identified as Robert Stoecker, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Yorkville police were assisted at the crash scene by the Kendall County Coroner's Office, Kendall County Sheriff's Office, Bristol Kendall Fire Department and Illinois Department of Transportation.
Police said the road remained closed until 10:40 p.m. A crash investigation is pending.
