Man Sent To Prison For Attacking Deputies At Kendall County Jail
He was in jail for allegedly shooting at Oswego police officers

Taylor J. Cano has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for attacking deputies and having contraband in the Kendall County Jail in Yorkville, according to Kendall County Now.
Last Friday, Cano pleaded guilty to three counts of aggravated battery to a peace officer and one count of possessing contraband. A Kendall county judge sentenced Cano to five years in prison for each count, for a total of 20 years.
The 26-year-old Oswego man was originally in jail for allegedly shooting at police officers. While in jail, Cano struck deputies and threw feces at one deputy. Cano claimed that he was mentally ill, and he can receive treatment in prison.

"This sentence will help to ensure that he is given the mental health treatment he is requesting while protecting the public and those assigned to guard him," Kendall County County State's Attorney Eric Weis said in a statement according to Kendall County Now.
