Meadowvale Leaving Yorkville

The company will be moving to a larger location in Sandwich

Meadowvale, a company known for its dairy and ice cream mixes, will be leaving Yorkville after 45 years, according to Kendall County Now.

"We've done well, but as we grow we just needed to have more room and do it more efficiently than we're doing it now," Meadowvale Inc. President Steve Steinwart told Kendall County Now. "This will allow for that and we're excited about it."

The company's current location in Yorkville is 30,000 square feet. The new location will be more that twice that size at 80,000 square feet.

Steinwart said the company had expanded into the frozen custard market, supplying two companies in Kansas and Missouri. He said the growth drove the need for more space.
