New Coffee Shop for Adults Applies for Permit in Yorkville
Java Jill's caters to an evening crowd of coffee-goers and low-key gamers.

A new coffee shop has applied for a permit in Yorkville, but it's not your typical place to get your caffeine fix.
Java Jill's is a coffee shop that caters to an adult, evening crowd that also plans to have a gaming facility.
The coffee upstart opened a location this July in Elwood, Ill. and expressed an interest in opening locations in Yorkville, Channahon and Minooka, according to a a January newsletter published by the Village of Elwood.Â
According to the Village of Elwood, Java Jill's hope to, "Offer a relaxed, casual environment for adults who enjoy a good cup of coffee, after dinner libation and a low-key gaming experience."
Java Jill's does not allow minors in its establishments and plan to serve alcohol with their coffee items. Should their building permit be approved, Java Jill's would need to fill out a liquor license application through the City.
The restaurant would also be applying for a gaming license, but in order to do so Java Jill's must have a liquor license.Â
Java Jill's has requested a permit for the location of 2635 North Bridge Street, in the River North Commercial Center.
