Phyllis married the love of her life, Jack Shikenjanski, 1960 and the couple raised their children in Oswego.

Phyllis Jo Shikenjanski, age 75, of Ocklawaha, FL, formerly a long-time resident of Yorkville, IL passed away at Ocala Regional Hospital in Ocala, FL on August 20, 2019, surrounded by loved ones.
Phyllis was born on June 6, 1944 in Aurora, IL, where she also grew up.
Phyllis married the love of her life in 1960 and has now been reunited with her beloved husband and soulmate, Jack Shikenjanski. The couple settled in Montgomery, IL in the early 1960s and later in Oswego, IL where they raised their two children, Sheri and John.

Phyllis was a dedicated and hard worker. She worked as an entrepreneur, alongside her husband and family, in the creation and operation of C&C Carpet Cleaning.
Phyllis was a devoted and loving mother. She was very proud of her family and was excited to become a grandmother to her 5 grandchildren and her 5 great-grandchildren. Phyllis loved holidays and family get-togethers; any chance to spend time with her family was important to her. She would spend hours cooking and preparing food that everyone would devour.

She was a devoted Christian that loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She took every opportunity to spread His love and the words of the Bible.
Phyllis was known for her feisty, yet good sense of humor. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Phyllis was the daughter of Iris and Norman Middleton, beloved wife of the late Jack Shikenjanski, devoted mother of Sheri Sticka (Paul) of Somonauk, IL and John Shikenjanski (Lynora) of Ocklawaha, FL, sister to Dory See (Jim), loving grandma to Dustin Edwards (Britanni), AJ Lenert, Zack Lenert, Alycia Tyler (Ryan), and Leanna Shikenjanki and to her great-grandchildren Savannah Lenert, Shaylynn Edwards, Xander Lenert, Parker Lenert, and Jacob Lenert.
Family and friends will gather for a celebration of life at Hoover Forest Preserve, The Meadowhawk Lodge, in Yorkville, IL on 11/8/2019 from 5p-8p. Please join us for food and sharing of memories, love, and support.
