Sneaky Snake Saga: Police Grab Slithery Suspect At Yorkville Home
According to the Yorkville Police Department, Officer Swanson quickly got hold of the snake and "took him into custody."
YORKVILLE, IL — Yorkville Police Department officers were called to a home in the Heartland Subdivision just before 1 a.m. Monday to catch an unwanted sssssssuspect in a resident's garage — a slithery snake. According to the police department, Officer Swanson quickly caught the snake and "took him into custody."
Homeowner Joely Johnson said her husband found the snake, and they think it might have been a corn snake, but aren't exactly sure.
"The officers were so great," Johnson told Patch.

"The suspect was later happily released on a personal recognizance, promising to never return to the neighborhood," police wrote in a Facebook post.
Police said the snake was released, and added that no one — including the snake — was hurt.
