Sen. Oberweis to host free Medicare Webinars Sept. 9 and Sept. 30

NORTH AURORA – State Sen. Jim Oberweis (R-North Aurora) will host two free community Webinars on Sept. 9 and Sept. 30 to help constituents learn more about the federal Medicare program.

On Sept. 9 and Sept. 30, Sen. Oberweis and a Medicare expert will host a Medicare 101 Webinar, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. from the comfort of participants’ own homes.

Facilitated by the Northern Illinois Age Guide and the Illinois Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP), the Medicare 101 Webinars include information about who is eligible, coverage details, how to get help with out-of-pocket expenses, and open enrollment. Participants will have the opportunity to ask live questions and get answers during the webinars. New and current beneficiaries are welcome.

The link and password to join the events will be posted on the front page of Sen. Oberweis’ website at www.senatoroberweis.com on the mornings of Sept. 9 and Sept. 30. Please click on the link, or copy and paste the link into your browser, about 9:50 a.m. and enter the password. You will be put on hold for a few minutes until the program begins at 10:00 a.m. If you are unable to join via the Internet, a telephone number and password will also be posted on the morning of the event on the front page of Sen. Oberweis’ website at www.senatoroberweis.com to allow participants to dial in on their cell phones or home phones.
