SIGN UP NOW for Community Blood Drive Sept. 21 in Yorkville

Donations are by appointment only, and can be scheduled by registering on Sen. Oberweis' legislative Web site.

YORKVILLE – Citizens wishing to donate blood should sign up now for a Community Blood Drive sponsored by State Sen. Jim Oberweis (R-Sugar Grove) on Sept. 21 in Yorkville.

Donations are by appointment only, and can be scheduled by registering online at https://donate.illinois.versit... or on Sen. Oberweis’ legislative Web site at http://senatoroberweis.com/ .

Scheduled from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 21 at Beecher Community Center, 908 Game Farm Road in Yorkville, the Blood Drive is being held in conjunction with the Versiti Blood Center of Illinois.

Social distancing and facemask use rules will apply. A photo ID is required.

“The pandemic and the resulting stay-at-home restrictions have disrupted normal routines for many months, and there is a shortage of blood products. We are asking local residents to please sign up online for an appointment, and donate blood for the good of your families and friends in our communities,” Oberweis said.
