Spirit cheerleading has completed their 2014-2015 competition season and WOW what a fantastic season it was for all of these kids.
The youngest All-Star team, Team Pride has ended their season on top with a 1st place win this weekend. Their season was tough for these little boys and girls but they all improved and in the end shined brightly. They competed at 6 competitions winning a 7th, 5th, 3rd, 2nd and two 1st places. Great job Team Pride we are all proud of the athletes you have become. Team Frenzy is also a very young team and they are a Prep team. Prep teams only compete against other prep teams and at fewer competitions with less practice time and commitment. Team Frenzy competed at 3 competitions this season winning two 2nd places and a 1st place. This team has showed great improvements over this season and we can’t wait to see what they will be capable of for the next. Great Job Frenzy. Team Obsession is also a Prep team and has competed at the same competitions as Frenzy. Team Obsession is mostly made up from kids from the Morris area won a 3rd and two 1st places. These girls have grown into a well balanced team that is fun to watch. Way to go Obsession for an outstanding season. Team Passion a full season All-star team has put in the work this season. This team from the start has worked very well together and with their coaches, Coach Scott, Coach Christa and Coach Erika they have competed against the best teams from across the county in Las Vegas and at the Us Finals. Team Passion is a Level 1 youth team that has won a 4th, three 2nd places and five 1st places! Plus this team has been the overall highest scoring team at one event and the highest scoring team for Level 1 at 3 events plus they received Best Choreography at an event and the new Battle Royale Jackets and Championship rings! HOLY COW! This team has had one heck of a season. You still have once chance left to see these girls in action when they perform their routine one last time at Spirit Cheerleading’s Recreational competition. They will not be competing but just showcasing their routine will all the other All-Star teams. Come Check out these teams May 9th at Yorkville middle School. Team Ambition is the last Prep team at Spirit for the 2014-2015 season and they are a team you don’t want to mess with. For having a limited practice schedule these are some super talented girls. This team has gone UNDEFEATED all season long. They were even brought to the very last competition the Battle Royale and did it again! If you are interested in trying out All-Star cheerleading but don’t know if you can commit to a full season of competitions our prep teams are the way to go they are truly awesome. Tryouts are May 12th – 14th. Spirit Cheerleading even has more advanced teams for the more advanced tumblers. Teams Inspire and Legacy are both level 2 teams who have also just completed a pretty eventful season. Inspire competed at 8 competitions this season winning a 4th, a 3rd, two 2nd places and four 1st places. This team was all brand new to level 2 stunts and they struggled in the beginning. But once they figured it out and started working in sync they were unstoppable. This team has also won the highest scoring level 2 team and the highest scoring overall team at one event this season and the coveted White Jackets at the US Finals. This teams year end victory is bitter sweet as they say goodbye to their beloved Coach Jess who will be leaving Spirit to start her career as a nurse. All of team Inspire and the rest of the Spirit family wish her the best of luck on her new journey. We love you coach Jess! The older senior level 2 team, Team Legacy also seemed to have a rough start and in the end another shining star for Spirit. Team Legacy competed at 9 events winning a 5th, a 3rd, three 2nds, and four 1st places. This team also won the coveted White Jackets for their division at the US Finals. Way to rock it out Legacy. If you are beyond back handsprings in tumbling and want something even tougher Spirit will be adding a Level 3 team this coming 2015/2016 season or you can try out for our Level 4 team, Team Envy is such an amazing fun energetic team to watch. They are so talented and it showed with their season earning them no less than 3rd place in all of their competitions. EVEN in Las Vegas when they were competing against gyms that have been around for much longer then Spirit. Envy won two 3rd places, two 2nd places and four 1st places plus level 4 highest scoring team. Superb Season! So if you want to see what this gym or All- Star cheerleading is all about come check these teams out Saturday May 9th at the Yorkville Middle School for the Spirit Cheerleading’s spring recreational cheerleading competition. Come cheer on your local rec teams and see what the All-Stars are about. If you are interested stop by the All-Star table for more information about tryouts on May 12th-14th.
