Yorkville’s Spirt Cheerleading just competed in their 1st competition of this season Sunday November 9th 2014 at Downers Grove South High School.
The director Kristy Abney says “I thought all of our teams did really, really well and I’m so proud of everyone!!” The teams that competed were Pride, Passion, Inspire, Legacy and Envy. The gym brought home a 5th place, 3rd place, two 2nd places and a 1st place plus 3 teams were invited by Twisted to go to Las Vegas for the All-Star games in March. What an honor!
Spirit cheerleading has over 10 All-Star and prep teams plus a dance team and a rec cheer program. These kids come from all over the area. Oswego, Yorkville, Aurora, Sandwich, Plano, Somonauk, Sugar Grove, Montgomery and Morris. The next competition is set for December 6th and 7th in Bloomington. Come cheer on your favorite team.
