Tractor Operator Cited In Hayrack Ride Crash That Hurt 11
Eleven people were hospitalized after a car hit the back of the hayrack ride. A DeKalb woman was also cited in connection with the incident.
KENDALL COUNTY, IL — The operator of a hayrack ride that was struck by a vehicle earlier this month has been cited in connection with the incident, which hospitalized 11 people. Gary Sleezer, of the 1200 block of Andrew Street in Plano, was cited for improper farm tractor operation, accused of driving a farm tractor on a roadway that was not being used for farming, the Kendall County Sheriff's Office said.
More than a dozen people were on the hayride when it was hit by a car just after 5:30 p.m. Oct. 12 on River Road between Blackhawk Road and Fox River Drive. Police said 11 adults were taken to area hospitals with varying degrees of injuries.
The driver of the car, 22-year-old Kaitlin Minick of DeKalb, was treated and released at the scene. Minick was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

The incident remains under investigation, according to the Kendall County Sheriff's Office.
