Traffic Closures During Riverfront Park, Bristol Bay Construction

Riverfront Park and Bristol Bay Park parking lot improvements will also lead to these restrictions.

YORKVILLE, IL — The United City of Yorkville announced Thursday that parking lot improvements by "D" Construction, Inc. are anticipated to begin at Riverfront Park and Bristol Bay in the next two weeks. The City's parks and recreation department said construction should last between one to two weeks. Once construction at Riverfront Park begins, the east end of Hydraulic Avenue will be closed to traffic, in addition to the restriction of access through the Go For It Sports Driveway when Bristol Bay Park construction starts, the City said.

The Riverfront Park work will include installing a new storm sewer, excavating and grading the east end of the parking lot, and paving the parking lot and bike path. The City said Bristol Bay Park work consists of paving the parking lot and bike path.
