Yorkville Parking Lot Battle: Truck Versus SUV And More Blotter Highlights

YORKVILLE, IL — The following police blotter items were taken from the Yorkville Police Department.

Battery Under Investigation: On Oct. 2, police responded to a fight at 2:05 a.m. on the 400 block of Omaha Drive. The incident is under investigation.

Dope Move: Police found .8 grams of weed and paraphernalia inside a car Oct. 3 at 10:05 a.m. The officer originally stopped the car for a cracked windshield and expired registration near the corner of Route 71 and Route 47. The 29-year-old driver was released on four city ordinance violations.

Battle of the GMCs: A driver backed her GMC Sierra into a parked GMC Yukon in a parking lot Oct. 7 at 11:22 a.m. in the 900 block of Erica Lane near retail stores.


Pavillion Road Hit-And-Run: An unknown vehicle swerved off the road into a ditch Oct. 8 at 9:54 p.m. The driver continued to travel through the ditch, struck a ComEd utility pole and left the scene. Incident took place near the intersection of Pavillion Road and Fox Road.

Bumper Cars: Yorkville Police reported four cases of people following too closely in traffic in the past week. Damage ranged from very minor to heavy.
