Yorkville Police Reports: Domestic Battery

YORKVILLE, IL—Police report information is provided by local police departments. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions on a given day, and persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

A report of domestic battery was investigated at 3:42 p.m. May 11 in the 100 block of Willoughby Court, Yorkville. Karen Christian, 48, of the 100 block of Willoughby Court, was arrested and taken to Kendall County Jail.

Police responded at 5:51 p.m. May 10 to an accident in the area of Route 47 and Bertram Drive. The motorcycle of Cassandra Bocanegra, 24, of the 100 block of Heathgate Road, Montgomery, struck the vehicle of Lorrielee Silvis of Bradleyville, Missouri. Bocanegra sustained minor injuries and was transported by emergency medical staff.

Police responded at 8:51 p.m. May 10 to an accident in the area of Route 47 and Route 126. The vehicle of Lee Smither, 46, of the 1400 block of Devonshire Drive, had rear-ended the vehicle of Anne Grunt of Yorkville. Grunt sustained injuries, but refused to seek hospital treatment.

Police responded at 11:40 p.m. May 10 to an accident in the area of Galena Road and Blackhawk Boulevard. The vehicle of Kevin Johnson, 56, of the 100 block of Appletree Court, Yorkville, struck a deer crossing the road. The vehicle was towed, officials said. No injuries were reported.

Police responded at 2:15 a.m. May 11 to an accident in the 8000 block of Van Emmon Road. The vehicle of Lee Cooper, 36, of the 1100 block of Cornell Lane, Yorkville, hit an unoccupied parked vehicle in a private drive in the 8000 block of Van Emmon Road.

A report of theft was made at 12:13 p.m. May 11 in the 1000 block of Commercial Drive. Authorities said a registration sticker taken off a vehicle.

Police responded at 2:07 p.m. May 11 to the area of Route 47 and Cannonball Trail. The vehicle of Martha Friedrich, 59, of the 800 block of Douglas Street, Ottawa, collided into the vehicle of Larry Beck of Yorkville.

Police responded at 3:23 p.m. May 11 to the area of Van Emmon Road and Heustis Street. The vehicle of Richard Levenson, 65, of the 1000 block of Peasant Run Lane, Aurora, rear-ended the vehicle of Kyle Cornelius of Yorkville.
