Yorkville Senior Housing Program Application Pool Opens Soon

Anthony Place Apartments has set aside 3 units for those who qualify for assistance.

YORKVILLE, IL — The city's Senior Housing Assistance Program is taking applications for three, one-bedroom units in Anthony Place Senior Apartments, slated to open in March. The two-story building at 1050 Freemont Street has 33 one-bedroom units and 17 two-bedroom apartments.

All the apartments are intended to be affordable for seniors, but the City has established an assistance program for the three apartments. The program will cover a portion of rent and utilities, based on the tenants’ income. Applications will be accepted in-person on a first-come, first-serve basis Feb. 1 at City Hall, 800 Game Farm Road.

To be eligible for the Senior Housing Assistance Program, the head of household must be 55 years or older with all other household members being at least 45 years old. Individual tenants must make no more than $19,200 annually, and no more than $21,930 or less annually if filing as a two person household.
