Yorkville Teen Launches Clothing Business Designed To Inspire
Mason Bumba, 13, shares what inspired his new clothing business.

YORKVILLE, ILLINOIS – Thirteen-year-old Mason Bumba is not only looking to take the world of martial arts by storm, but also the world of business. The Yorkville resident, who is a first-degree black belt in Shaolin Kung Fu and a second degree in Jido Kwon TaeKwonDo, said he’s put a lot of thought into starting the clothing business, which he's named Relentless Threads.
“Relentless isn’t just for any certain age group, we have 2-years-olds who are wearing Relentless and who are being relentless,” Bumba said. “We also have my 91-year-old great grandma. … It starts at any age.”
Bumba said he wants to inspire everyone to be relentless. The teen has taken to social media and events to promote the business.

Bumba said he considers the venture to be successful.
Mason’s mother, Christina Bumba, said it's great seeing the way Mason is having success in running the apparel business.
Mason became inspired to launch a clothing business about a year ago.
Christina said she and her husband see a lot of themselves in Mason.
“I think he takes after my husband and I,” she said. “We set goals, and we don’t stop until we achieve them. I think we led by example, and I think that’s where he’s getting it from.”
Mason said he’s received a lot of positive product feedback.“Everybody seems to like the colors a lot—some of the blues, some of the reds we have,” he said.
The clothing, which is priced from $20 to $46, is available online.
