Yorkville Woman Brings Box Cutter to Family Fight: Police

A male and female had minor cuts, but were unsure if they came from fingernails or the box cutter.

YORKVILLE, IL — A 21-year-old Yorkville woman was arrested on charges of domestic battery after police were called to a fight involving a box cutter.

A family member called police to the 1400 block of Orchid Street at around 5:40 a.m. Wednesday because of a fight outside between two female residents. After the fight ended, one of the females took a box cutter and entered the home to continue it, police said.

The box cutter was taken by a male in the house. The male and one of the females each had one minor cut. Neither was sure if the cut was from the fingernails of the female or the box cutter. No medical attention was needed.
