Grace Holistic Center for Education will be participating in the Hour of Code, a global learning event held during Computer Science Education Week December 9-15.

Whatever field our students choose to study, their ability to succeed will increasingly depend on understanding how technology works. However, only 45% of all high schools teach computer science. Grace Holistic will have the entire school joining the largest learning event in history: The Hour of Code. More than 100 million students worldwide have already participated. The Hour of Code offers hundreds of one-hour activities for ages kindergarten and up.

The Hour of Code is supported by many companies, technology visionaries and celebrities, as well as former President Obama. It is recognized as a beneficial way to expose females to computer coding as well, in order to solve the diversity/gender gap in computer science.
