The Ankeny Centennial High School Dance Team took home several awards, including a bid to Nationals at the National Dance Alliance (NDA) Camp at Iowa State University in August.
Competing for the first time at this camp, the team won a Technical Excellence award for their home routine, the Overall Technical Excellence award, and gold for their team routine.
Three girls were awarded All-American titles seniors Danielle Petersen, Toni Ugolini and Taylor Brannan. The team is now looking forward to their 2014 National Bid in Orlando, Florida.
“Camp was a huge success and a great experience for the team,” said Madison Fontana, Ankeny Centennial High School Assistant Dance Team Coach.
NDA Summer Camp provides high-energy, challenging, and creative instruction for individuals to express their unique style as they learn to work together as a team.
