City Of Ankeny: Lawn Irrigation Suspended In Ankeny Starting July 5, 2021 At 10 P.M.

Due to a water main leak, the City of Ankeny is moving to Stage 3 of the Water Conservation Plan, requiring a mandatory suspension of all lawn irrigation starting Monday, July 5 at 10 p.m. until further notice.

The City of Ankeny and Des Moines Water Works crews need to make an emergency repair to one of three feeder water mains providing service to the City of Ankeny. This is not a safety concern and there is still an adequate supply of water for all domestic use; only lawn irrigation is prohibited. The mandatory suspension of all lawn irrigation is expected to be in effect for at least 48 hours. The City will provide an update when the suspension is lifted.
