Ankeny Kirkendall Public Library Now Open On Sundays In Ankeny

The library offers several virtual programs for patrons of all ages.

Beginning, Sunday, Nov. 8, the Ankeny Kirkendall Public Library will be open on Sundays and curbside service will be offered 7-days a week.

Ankeny Kirkendall Public Library Hours:

Monday - Thursday: 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.

Friday: 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Saturday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Sunday: 1 - 5 p.m.

The library offers several virtual programs for patrons of all ages. In addition, the Children’s librarians offer to-go story time and activity kits. Curbside service can be activated through the website and is available when the library is open except for 30 minutes before closing. Please visit www.ankenyiowa.gov/library for full details.

To encourage social distancing and help stop the spread of COVID-19, capacity is limited to 75 people and all visitors are required to wear a face covering while in the library. Patrons should bring their library card or card number to expedite checkout. Computer, conference room and study room usage is limited to two hours per day. Play areas, seating areas, teen room are closed. Hatch Makerspace is available by appointment.

To help everyone stay safe while enjoying the library, visitors should wash their hands or use hand sanitizer frequently, social distance when possible, wear a face covering and stay home if they are sick.
